A Little About Me...
I am a mixed media collage and acrylic painter living in Saukville, Wisconsin, where I create from a light-filled home studio that serves as both a creative sanctuary and a place of discovery.
Although I do not have a formal art education, creativity has been part of my life for many years. My artistic journey has included glass fusing, mosaics, acrylic painting, and, most recently, mixed media collage. For a long time, I believed the common misconception that only specially trained people could call themselves artists. Over time, however, I began to challenge that belief and discovered that creativity belongs to all of us.
Today, I am an active member of the Cedarburg Artists Guild and embrace art as both a creative practice and a way of connecting more deeply with myself and the world around me. My work is guided by curiosity, intuition, and a willingness to explore without judgment.
Whether I am working with paint, paper, ink, or found materials, I am drawn to color, texture, pattern, and the unexpected discoveries that emerge through the creative process. My artwork explores themes of growth, connection, resilience, and transformation, often inspired by nature and the beauty found in everyday life.
Through my work, I hope to inspire others to reconnect with their own creativity and discover the joy, meaning, and possibility that emerge when we allow ourselves to create freely.
Artist Statement
My work explores creativity as a process of discovery, connection, and transformation. Through both mixed media collage and acrylic painting, I create intuitive compositions inspired by nature, color, texture, and personal reflection.
Working with layers of paint, paper, marks, and pattern, I embrace a process that values curiosity over perfection and discovery over control. Themes of growth, emergence, gratitude, belonging, and transformation appear throughout my work, often expressed through flowers, organic forms, symbolic shapes, and vibrant color.
As a self-taught artist, I have come to believe that creativity belongs to everyone. My work reflects the joy that comes from trusting intuition, embracing play, and remaining open to possibility. Through my art, I hope to create moments of connection and invite others to rediscover the beauty, wonder, and creative spirit that already exists within them.

I am inspired by artists who work intuitively and expressively. I admire their use of bold colors, texture, shape, and pattern, as well as their willingness to break the rules and trust the creative process. Their work reminds me that art can be both meaningful and joyful.
Nature

Nature is a constant source of inspiration. Flowers, gardens, wild landscapes, birds, and changing seasons provide endless combinations of color, texture, movement, and form. The beauty and resilience of the natural world frequently find their way into my work.
Intuition
Music, meditation, and yoga help me connect with my intuition and create from a place of openness and curiosity. Rather than beginning with a rigid plan, I often allow colors, shapes, and ideas to emerge naturally as I work. This process of discovery is one of the most rewarding aspects of creating art.
My Granddaughters
Perhaps my greatest teachers are my granddaughters. They approach creativity with complete freedom, unconcerned about mistakes or perfection. Their playful spontaneity reminds me to trust the process, embrace experimentation, and create with joy.
